A recent example is found in Travis County, Texas, where on November 8 voters approved $82.1 million to buy land for parks and open space. It may come as a surprise to some, but the outcome of the Travis County vote was hardly unusual.

The Livestrong Austin Marathon and Half Marathon is hosting 26 Miles for 26 Charities on February 19th. HCC needs over 100 volunteers to host a water stop at our mile – the Marathon would not be the same without its enthusiastic volunteers encouraging participants!
